Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has described as unfortunate the industrial action embarked upon by Resident Doctors in the country amidst the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Governor expressed his reservation when he received the state chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, in Government house, Benin City.
He also expressed worry that Nigerians, including health officials, are shying away from being vaccinated and stressed that inoculation is the way to go in order to mitigate possible fatalities from the Delta variant of COVID-19.

The Edo State Chief Executive said the state government is targeting a minimum of fifty percent vaccination of residents.
Resident doctors in the country are on strike in the country over pay, insurance benefits, and poor facilities among other issues.
