The last day of the Permanent Voters Cards, PVC, distribution in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, recorded a low turnout with over 6,000 yet unclaimed.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had earlier extended the deadline on two occasions for the collection with additional one week.
Hundreds of uncollected Permanent voters cards were seen lying on the table at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s distribution centers in the Federal Capital Territory as No voters were sighted in some locations on the last day of the exercise.
ait.live moved to the Garki Government School on Lagos street where less than 15 potential voters were seen at the centres after the Sunday church service.

But some potential voters who came hoping to pick their PVCs to participate in the 2023 general elections were disappointed.
It’s was a different ball game for some possible voters.
The INEC officials also told ait.live that the commission may find another means to reach out to owners of the unclaimed PVCs after the deadline date before the general elections commence.
