100 Days In Office: GOV. Oborevwori Commissions More Projects

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has underscored the importance of the nation’s educational system especially the Universities to engage in cross-disciplinary research that would address the complex challenges associated with evolving technologies.

Governor Oborevwori who made this disclosure during the commissioning of multiple projects at the Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, Isoko North Council Area, as part of activities lined up to mark his 100 days in office said, his administration was keen on seeing that every child in the state have access to functional education comparable to that of the Western world.

The projects commissioned in the University include Administrative building, Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge, Staff School building, University Guest House, Squash court, and two kilometers of interlock concrete Road.

Governor Oborevwori commended the University management for the projects executed through Internally generated revenue and his predecessor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his wisdom in establishing the three new Universities even as he challenged them to engage in research so as to solve the several challenges confronting the world.

Both commissioners for Higher Education and Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), in their messages paid tribute to Gov Oborevwori’s spirit in moving Delta forward.

Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Jacob Oboreh said the Institution has embraced Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda in its developmental programmes.
