Vice President Kashim Shettima has been to Maiduguri to inaugurate projects executed by the administration of Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, within 100 days of his second term in office.
Shettima who was cheered by a jubilant crowd, commended the vision and leadership of Governor Zulum, particularly in addressing the welfare of the people.

On arrival at the Air Force Base, Vice President Shettima proceeded to inaugurate community schools and primary healthcare centre. He also performed the ground-breaking ceremony for construction of the 22.5-kilomeyre Jere Bowl Road Network.
The Vice President also launched the North East Development Commission, NEDC Presidential Palliatives Programme, for the six states of the region.
The food and non-food palliatives, according to the NEDC Managing Director, Mohammed Goni Alkali, cost N15 billion.
Shettima who officially flagged-off the distribution of the Presidential Palliatives applauded the re-inauguration of the NEDC Board, and tasked them on roads development, in the North-East sub-region.
