1,385 persons recover from Covid-19 as Nigeria records 1,016 new cases

In the last 24 hours, 1,385 persons have recovered from Covid-19 infection across Nigeria with total number of successfully treated cases now 73,322.

These include 537 in the Federal Capital Territory, 459 in Lagos State and 78 in Plateau State who were managed in line with community-based treatment guidelines

Meanwhile, 21 states are reporting 1,016 new Covid-19 cases in Nigeria. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 86,576.

The states with new Covid-19 cases include Lagos-434; FCT-155; Plateau-94; Kaduna and Rivers-56 each; Oyo-30; Nasarawa-27; Zamfara-25 and Abia-22.

Other states with new Covid-19 cases are Enugu and Kano-18 each; Bayelsa-15 Edo-14; Ogun-11; Borno and Ebonyi-10 each; Jigawa-7; Anambra-4; Delta, Niger and Osun-3 each.

Eleven persons died of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the national death toll put at 1,278.
