Another batch of 161 distressed Nigerians from Mitiga, Libya on Thursday night arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport
Lagos.

The returnees who were brought into Nigeria on board a chartered flight were received by the Acting Coordinator, Lagos Territorial Office of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA Ibrahim Farinloye.

The Returnees who were brought back with the assistance of the European Union and International Organisation for Migration, IOM comprise of 48 female adults, 4 female children, 5 female infants as well as 102 male adults, 1 male child and 1 infant male.

Farinloye disclosed that this last batch brings the total number of voluntary returnees from Libya to 14,045.

Some of the returnees while narrating their ordeal say they were treated like slaves.
