Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has appealled to the Federal Government for the urgent repairs of two collapsed bridges in the State.

While on the Spot assessment of the Lantang-Wase Bridge which has cut off travels between two Local Governments and other parts of the State as well as Taraba State, Lalong reassured the people that Government will not neglect them.

He said “although they are Federal Roads, the state government will immediately intervene to ameliorate the suffering of the people since the road is a major commercial corridor in the area.

As a short-term measure the Governor then ordered his Ministry of Water Resources and Energy to provide boats that will ferry people across the river while intermediate work is being carried out.
