Two former Inspectors General of Police, Aliyu Attah and Tafa Balogun say community policing remains the best means to address the rising insecurity in the Country.
They disclosed this while speaking at a sensitization programme on Community Policing in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The two former police chiefs said they support efforts to resuscitate community policing due to its potential benefits to crime-fighting in the country.
They also spoke on the need for the government to give constitutional roles to traditional rulers.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega, described the programme as a renewed approach in the implementation of community policing strategy in the country.
