2 officers killed in attack on another police station in Anambra State

Anambra State Police Command has confirmed an attack on the Obosi Divisional Police Station in the Idemili North Local Government Area leading to the death of two police officers in the early hours of Thursday.

In a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the yet-to-be-identified gunmen who without provocation violently attacked the facility were repelled through a quick response of the officers on duty.

The Command adds that the hoodlums in a bid to escape set part of police station and 2 operational vehicles on fire

The Police Commissioner, Chris Owolabi has however detailed a team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations to identify, apprehend and prosecute perpetrators.
