Commissioner for Environment, Remilekun Banigbe made the disclosure in statement released in Ilorin, the state capital shortly after monitoring the monthly sanitation exercise to ascertain the level of compliance.

Banigbe noted that every resident has a role to play by observing the exercise, adding that there are sanitation laws governing the State and should be strictly adhered to.

Meanwhile, Banigbe maintained that the 200 offenders apprehended would be sanctioned according to the law to serve as deterrent to others.

She urged all people of the State to always comply with the sanitation laws and the directives of the Ministry of Environment, noting that the government will do all within its disposal to ensure that the State is clean and free of any form of disease.
