Government of Enugu State in South East Nigeria says it has awarded contract worth over N1.1 billion for urban and rural projects.
State Commissioner for Information, Nnanyelugo Chidi Aroh made this known while briefing journalists on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Enugu, the state capital.
He says the award of the contracts is in furtherance of the state government’s renewed policy in providing democracy dividends to the people of the State.
Some of the internal road projects approved include construction and rehabilitation of Phase 3 of Amokwe Road in Udi Local Government Area of the State with the contract sum of N383 million.
The State Executive Council also approved the setting up of monitoring and evaluation team to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the 2020 Budget.
