Badminton Federation of Nigeria, BFN is leaving nothing to chance at ensuring that the country’s players qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
The BFN has lined-up series of competitions for top players to enable them garner points to qualify them for the olympics.
Africa’s reigning champion Anuolowapo Opeyori, Godwin Olofua and Dorcas Adesokan, who is also Africa’s reigning champion, will attend competitions in Estonia, Sweden, Uganda and Kenya.
They will also participate in the championships in New Zealand, Finland, Netherlands and Croatia.
BFN President, Francis Orbih noted that the Nigerian Team would take part in the all Africa senior championship in February in a bid to qualify for the Thomas and Uber cup.
The federation is also working on reviving grassroots programmes and plans to sustain others
