The Central Naval command of the Nigeria Navy inconjuction with Land components of “opereation Delta safe” rescues three Sterling oil expatriates who were abducted by suspected sea pirates.
The flag Officer commanding Central Naval command, rear admiral Saidu Garba, who confirmed this to Journalists at the Warri base in Delta State, South-South Nigeria says those rescued include one Indian and two Russians.
They are said to be in good health after receiving medical attention from the command’s team of health experts. The three expatriates were kidnapped along the Ramos river between Bayelsa and Delta State on January 2, 2020.
Reading the riot act to those taking piracy as a business, rear admiral Garba said the Nigerian Navy is poised to rid the Niger Delta region of all criminal activities and other forms of illegalities.
