2021 WASA: Army, host community showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage in Kano

Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage was on display at the Three Brigade of the Nigerian Army’s, 2021 West African Social Activities, WASA, in Kano State, Northwest Nigeria.

The annual event afforded members of the barracks and the host community in Kano, the opportunity to showcase their various cultural heritage, to the admiration of the people.

The event showcased the various cultural heritage of the Fulani, Tiv, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Idoma, among others, to thrill and light up the crowd.

The event is celebrated every year in all formations of the Nigerian Army.

It marks the end of the year activities and acknowledges distinguished officers and soldiers.

The 2021 WASA provided the platform for the Commander of Three Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Kano, Brigadier-general Sinyinah Nicodemus, and other senior officers, to interact with members of the barrack and civilian communities, as well as to project the rich cultural heritage of the different ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje who was represented by the Commissioner for Sports and Youths, Kabiru Lakwaya, pledged to continue to support the Nigerian Army to achieve its mandate.

Deserving officers were recognized for their outstanding performances, during the outgoing year.
