Police have arrested the suspected terrorist leader of the March 2022 Abuja-Kaduna passenger train attack, Ibrahim Abdullahi, commonly known as Mandi.

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi told newsmen in Kaduna that the suspect was also involved in the abduction of Greenfield University students in 2021.

Muyiwa added that a total of 48 AK-47 riffles were recovered from Mandi during his arrest and that the authorities are working to uncover his sponsor and arms supplier

It will be recalled that eight people were killed including police personnel in the March 28, 2022 terrorist attack on Abuja-Kaduna train with 168 other passengers abducted before they were released on payment of ransom.
