The National Population Commission, NPC says it has devised strategies that would help in eliminating all forms of manipulations in the 2023 Population Census.
The NPC Federal Commissioner in charge of Ebonyi State, Darlington Okereke gave the assurance in Abakaliki while fielding questions from Journalists on the ongoing trial census for 2023 population and housing census exercise.
Okereke explains that unlike the 2006 headcount where there were alleged irregularities, the 2023 census exercise would eliminate all opportunities for the manipulation of figures as the Commission is putting in place facilities and personnel to check such abuse.
He notes that the trial census which is billed to take place in nine of the thirteen Local Government Areas of the State, is a key preparatory activity aimed at assessing different scenarios that may be presented during main census exercise.
