A Civil Society Organization, Connected Development, says women are more enthusiastic to vote in the 2023 general election but the fear of insecurity will be a major source of discouragement to them.
Speaking at a town hall meeting in Ogorimagongo Local Government Area of Kogi State, Chief Executive officer of the organization, Hamzat Lawal also wants serious actions taken against vote trading
Empirical evidence abound that women constitute a larger percentage of voters in every election and with this advocacy on voter participation ahead of the 2023 election by Connected Development, women appear very enthusiastic about this civic obligation.

But the Chief Executive of Connected Development, Hamzat Lawal says the current spate of insecurity in the country may discourage women from coming out to vote.
Joining the Muslim community to pray in Okene, Hamzat called on both Christians and Muslims not to make religion the subject of campaign in 2023.
At magongo in Ogorimagongo Local government, the women spoke out on what they will do.
