For the civil society groups, the 2023 general election is one that should not be handled with levity, hence the idea of reminding Nigerians who have a direct stake to understand their role in the electoral process and not leave things to chance but to own it.
INEC assures plateau residents of its readiness, adding that there will be no room for those who are planning to hijack the election as the new electoral law will check such.
Several other speakers agreed that civil groups and the media must help change the narrative when it comes to political participation.
The groups appealed to stakeholders to allow a free and credible exercise while calling on all Nigerians to ensure their vote counts.
