Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has called on politicians to put the Nigerian project first and ensure that fairness, equity and justice form the basis and criteria for choosing leaders that can pilot the affairs of the nation.
Governor Obaseki made this call when he received the former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi who was in Government house, Benin City on a courtesy call as part of his consultation visit with key players ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
The Governor was emphatic that Edo will not support anything that does not reflect equity.

On his part, the Presidential Aspirant, Peter Obi, noted that Nigeria was at a cross roads and in need of capable leadership to pilot her affairs.
Peter Obi says he agrees with anything that was fair, just and will bring succour to all Nigerians.
Obi is the sixth PDP Presidential Aspirant to call on the Edo State Governor in the build up to the PDP primary after Dele Momodu, Bukola Saraki, Aminu Tambuwal, Bala Mohammed and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
