Taraba State

To support the academic growth of students, and aid access to factual information on the forthcoming general elections,  youths from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Taraba State, have launched free Internet connectivity at strategic points in the state.

At least 200,000 persons are expected to benefit from the initiative.

As Nigeria prepares to go to the polls on February 25 and March 11, the relevant stakeholders have continued to deploy means to ensure a transparent process.

The latest of the initiatives is the free WiFi launched by youths from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Taraba State, to have the masses closely monitor the forthcoming general elections online, by accessing factual information on the progress of the polls in various locations.

Though the target of the free data network is to assist Taraba students academically, its benefits remain vast, to all who can access it.

The initiative also hopes to mitigate the sufferings of Taraba residents, as the scarcity of currency, and fuel bites harder.

Stakeholders from the state’s PDP believe that free Internet connectivity will form the catalyst for an informed and educated society.

At least 200,000 persons are expected to benefit from the free internet connectivity, which is accessible in 36 locations, at different points in Taraba State.
