The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday night, met with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
The meeting is in continuation of Tinubu’s nationwide consultation with critical stakeholders, ahead of the 2023 elections.
The former governor of Lagos State was accompanied on the visit by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, and five APC governors.

Sources at the meeting confirmed that the brief meeting gave the leaders the opportunity to discuss various national issues and the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
After the brief meeting, Tinubu told journalists that he was on a courtesy visit to the former president, a former leader and one of the critical stakeholders in the Nigeria project.
Those who accompanied the APC presidential candidate included Governors Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Bello Matawale of Zamfara, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, among others.
Tinubu also recently had a similar meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
