As the 2023 General Elections approach, the three Bauchi Gov’ship candidates in the state have presented their manifestos and objectives to prospective voters and the people, requesting their support.
The candidates presented their blueprints during the 2023 Gov’ship Debate organized by the Nigeria Union Of Journalists in collaboration with other Civil Society Organizations in Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria.
These are all part of moves to ensure credible and violent-free 2023 Elections. The Nigerian Union Of Journalists in collaboration with other unions organised the political debate for the four major Bauchi State governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress APC, People’s Democratic Party PDP and People’s Redemption Party PRP, with that of the New Nigerian People Party NNPP sending his apologies.

The debate majorly centred on how to address the challenges in the critical sectors of the economy such as health, education and job creation among others, aimed at improving the economy of the state.
As the two candidates of the APC and PRP battle to win the governorship seat, the PDP candidate is seeking a second term.
They all spoke on what they intend to do if elected.
The organisers of the debate said the occasion is to assist in entrenching a culture of robust political discussion, to enable eligible voters to choose the candidates of their choice, for sustainable growth and development.
