“We are no longer going to sit on the fence, we would change the political narrative at various levels of the poll by encouraging our faithful to exercise their franchise for the right candidate.”
These were the words of the Nigeria Catholic priests after their annual convention in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital.
Speaking under the Nigeria Catholic Diocesan Priests Association, the president of the religious group, Reverend Father John-Bosco Eze said the era of sitting on the fence was over, explaining that all the organs of the Catholic church, including women and youth wings have been directed to get involved.
The religious Group said changing Nigeria from the state of insecurity, Economic Hardship, Corruption at various levels and Bad Governance required all hands to be on deck which all Catholic members must actively participate.
