The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says Delta State has registered the highest number of voters compared to other States in the whole of South-south, Southeast and Southwest in its ongoing Continuous Voter Registration Exercise; online and in-person.
Resident Electoral Commissioner, Monday Udoh-Tom who made the disclosure during a Press Conference held in Asaba, the State Capital on devolution of CVR to Ward levels says the Continuous Voter Registration exercise of eligible voters across the twenty-five local government areas of the State will be subjected to security consideration and advise from Inter-agency Consultative Committee on Election Security, ICCES.

The REC further advised that voters whose cards have been defaced or names wrongly spelt should apply online or at their various Ward levels for a revalidation rather than going for fresh registration which is a crime and punishable under law as multiple registration.
