2023 Elections: Group asks youths to get more involved

Nigerian Youths have been called upon to participate more actively in voting and political processes in the country.

Making the call at a sensitization programme in Abuja at the weekend, the Convener, “Speak Up Stand Out”, Gloria Emmanuel said Youths who constitute a large number of Nigeria’s voting population cannot afford to stay away from politics any longer if they hope to genuinely change the narratives.

The group called on young citizens to seize the opportunity of on-going Voters’ registration exercise to secure their Permanent Voters’ Card(PVCs) for the general elections next year.

The group therefore called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure it brings the Voter Registration Centres closer to prospective voters in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
