The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has promised to address banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and terrorism which have been crippling Zamfara State’s economy in particular, and the country in general, if elected in the February election as Nigeria’s President.
Obi pledged this while in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital in Northwest Nigeria, where the Labour Party Presidential Campaign train stopped over to hold its campaign rally, ahead of the February 25 and March 11, 2023 General Elections.
Addressing supporters at the Labour Party Presidential rally in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, assured residents of the state of tackling the prevailing security challenges, poverty, hunger and unemployment among others, if given the mandate to lead Nigeria.
He said Nigeria and Zamfara State are facing a myriad of challenges that need competent leaders to proffer lasting solutions, and the Labour Party is well prepared and ready to provide that purposeful leadership.
He asked the people of Zamfara State to vote for the Labour Party and all its candidates, as the only alternative to PDP and APC.
Those who accompanied the Labour Party presidential candidate to Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria are his running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the party, Barrister Julius Abure, and other party stalwarts.
