The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,says the success of the 2023 Elections in Cross River State depends on the readiness of the security agencies in playing their roles to implement the 2022 electoral law.
Newly posted Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state,Professor Gabriel Yomere made this known in Calabar, when he met with the service commanders of different security agencies in Cross River.
Yomere said the use of electronic to transmit results during the 2023 elections is not negotiable, saying with the New Electoral laws, the era of ballot box snatching and multiple voting is over.

He called for the buying-in of security agencies who he said are major stakeholders before ,during and after the election as provided for in the new electoral law.
The meeting between INEC and the Security Agencies was part of the strategic preparation for the 2023 General elections in Cross River State.
