National Peace Committee

The National Peace Committee for the 2023 elections says another peace accord will be signed next month February and advised political parties and candidates to base their campaigns on issues only.

The committee met with party chairmen, presidential candidates, and other election stakeholders over issues of violations of the peace accord.

The committee called on political parties and candidates to abide by the accord they entered into on September 29, 2022, and avoid any language and actions that may threaten the forthcoming elections.
