The Choice of Political Parties in Nigeria to Zone the 2023 Presidential ticket to the South East part of the Country will guarantee unity of the country and provide a sense of belonging to various ethnic groups who are yet to Occupy the most exalted seat of Power in Nigeria.

This was the submission of some Public Affairs analysts in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State Capital when they expressed thier opinions on the ongoing 2023 Presidential ticket zoning discourse among some main Political Parties in the Nigeria.

The region that will produce the next President of Nigeria is one critical issue that has divided the opinion of many Senior Citizens of the Country and has appeared a tough task to Political Parties even in the face of Preparations for their next national Conventions that will reposition Political parties’ structures for the 2023 general election.

Although Some Governors have described the zoning of the next Presidency ticket as unconstitutional but other Citizens including seasoned Politicians, Opinion moulders have clearly backed zoning on the basis of fairness in power distribution and consideration that the South West, Northern and South South regions had all governed Nigeria.

Beyond the Presidential ticket zoning discourse, the Public affairs analysts also want adequate preparations by electoral institutions for the 2023 general election.

The pendulum as to where political parties will zone their Presidential tickets will be clearer after the conclusion of their respective National conventions.
