The federal government says a total of three million,eight hundred and thirty four thousand, two hundred and forty four cyber attacks were recorded during the Governorship and State Assembly elections.
In a statement by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Pantami, the attacks which was a reduction from what was recorded during the presidential and National Assembly Elections occurred between Friday March 17 to Monday March 20, 2023.

He however expressed confidence that recommendations from the committee for the protection of Nigerian cyberspace and ICT infrastructure will ensure surveillance and monitoring of the nation’s cyberspace from possible attacks.
