The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has promised to develop the Calabar Tinapa Business resort project to achieve its full potential if elected the next president of Nigeria in 2023.
Doing this according to Obi, would improve the tourism sector of Nigeria and increase the per-capital income of both Cross River and the country
Obi was speaking during a campaign rally organised by the Labour Party Campaign Council at the UJ Esuene Sports Stadium Calabar.
The Former Anambra State Governor said every state In Nigeria will grow at its pace using comparative advantage mechanisms to produce what they are best suited for, saying Calabar is known as the Tourism headquarters of Nigeria.
National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, while calling on the People of Cross River State to vote for Peter Obi, said his Party will turn around Nigeria if elected.
The Labour Party Presidential Candidate was earlier received by the Obong of Calabar and other Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council where he unfolded his agenda for National Unity.
