Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Presidential Campaign Council Charles Aniagwu says any right thinking Nigerian knows that the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly Elections of 25th February did not comply substantially with the Electoral Act 2022 as amended.
Aniagwu who made this disclosure in his post-election news conference in Asaba is of the opinion that the Electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC failed to comply with the provisions of relevant laws guiding the conduct of elections in the country.
Aniagwu said as a result of shortcomings of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections, International observers failed to give it passmark having breached the constitution and Electoral act requirements of electronic transmission of results and the 25% votes cast in the FCT.
The PDP Presidential Campaign Council spokesman who taunted the ruling APC for celebrating a controversial victory said the process which failed to reflect the yearnings and aspirations of most Nigerians would be contested in the court.
He used the occasion to woo Deltans to put aside their experiences of the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly Elections and vote PDP Candidates come March 11th.
According to Aniagwu, Governor Okowa has ordered probe over violence witnessed in some communities during the last election as he urged security agencies to investigate the allegations and bring the culprits to book.
