Rivers State Governor and Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Aspirant, Nyesom Wike, has asked Adamawa PDP delegates to vote for him in the party primaries, scheduled for May 27th and 28th, as he is the only one with the capacity to defeat the incumbent APC, in the 2023 General Elections.
Wike who was in Yola on the mission, told the delegates that this is the only chance PDP has to reclaim its supremacy against the ruling APC and that failure to achieve that will bring an end to the existence of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Nigeria.
Governor Nyesom Wike was received by his Adamawa State counterpart, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri at the Government House, Yola, where the visitor told the host that he was there to canvass support from PDP delegates, as the party convention approaches.

Wike said that although Governor Fintiri’s support is for Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, notwithstanding, his support and goodwill are still needed.
Adamawa Governor Fintiri told Wike, that even though he is with the Atiku camp, he wishes the Rivers State Governor well in his endeavours.
Wike’s campaign train, thereafter, moved to the Government House Banquet Hall, the venue of the meeting, where he told the delegates that he was in the state to solicit their votes.
He said that he is the only aspirant with the capacity to defeat the incumbent All Progressives Congress, APC.
He told the delegates that they should not vote based on regional or religious sentiments, because poverty, hunger, insecurity and economic hardship neither know the North nor the South, Muslims or Christians.
The PDP Chairman in the state, Abubakar Shehu, welcomed the aspirant but said that Adamawa’s support is exclusively for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is also in the race.
A former governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo was on the entourage of Nyesom Wike.
