Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has promised full implementation of the state’s 2024 budget, saying that under his watch all items under the budget will be transparent and fully scrutinised.
Governor Otu who was represented by his Deputy, Peter Odey, stated this while declaring open a one-day stakeholders’ budget consultative forum in Calabar.
The Governor said all stakeholders involved in budget process should take interest in 2024 budget ,assuring that his administration will ensure that implementation ratio is transparent.
On his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget planning, Otu Otu Ita, said ,due to scarce resources, proper allocation and utilisation will be the watch word of the 2024 appropriation bill.

The state Commissioner for finance and Chairman House Committee on finance and other stakeholders including the civil society were at the consultative forum where critical questions were asked about the previous budgets performance.
