The Federal Government through the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has donated 60 trucks of fertiliser to farmers in Benue State, the country’s food basket for the 2024 farming season.
State Governor, Hyacinth Alia made this known while flagging off the farming season and distribution of other agriculture inputs in Makurdi, the State capital.
Governor Alia advised young people to embrace agriculture for their overall good as his administration wants to empower and make them rich through agriculture.
If properly distributed to actual farmers who in turn fully utilise all that has been provided this year’s harvest promises to be bountiful.
