Workers in Benue State have joined their counterparts across the country to celebrate the workers day with the hope for improved welfare and other 2024 entitlements.
State Chairman of Nigerian Labour Congress, Terungwa Igbe who commended the Governor Hyacinth Alia for the prompt payment of monthly salary used the opportunity to request for the payment of months of arrears owed by the previous administration.
The Workers day held at the IBB square in Makurdi Benue State’s administrative capital.

State Governor Hyacinth Alia arrives just in time to take the salute from the various workers groups.
State Chairman Nigeria Labour congress uses the opportunity on behalf of workers to appeal to the Governor to include payment of arrears of salary and pension to his achievements.
The State Governor pledged to prioritise their welfare assuring Benue workers that aside prompt payment of wages they will begin to enjoy the full benefits of working with the State Government.
