2024 Nigerian Army Day: Tinubu Appreciates Nigerian Army, Charges them to do More In Tackling Insecurity

President Bola Tinubu has said that the Nigerian Army remains the backbone of the Nation’s security architecture and must sustain progress made so far and evolve strategies to ensure that violent groups do not overwhelm peaceful and law-abiding Nigerians.

He made the remark at the Grand finale of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2024 at the Maxwell khube cantonment, Rukuba, in Plateau State.

The chief of Army staff Let. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, said the Army’s experience in the ongoing nationwide operation has continued to highlight the importance of a whole of society’s approach to the efforts of the Army and the need to gain the buy-in of the citizenry to support its actions.

President Bola Tinubu who was the special Guest of honor at the event and represented by the Minister of Defense encouraged the Nigerian Army to continue to work closely with other security agencies in addressing the security challenges confronting the Nation.

President Tinubu who disclosed that his administration is committed to providing necessary equipment for the Nigerian Army for successful operations also Announced the payment of ground life assurance for all members of the Nigerian Army who died in line of duty.
