Nigeria’s House of Representatives has pledged the sum of 100 million naira support for Team Nigeria participating in the 2024 Olympic Games beginning in Paris, France later this month.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who was represented by his deputy, Benjamin Kalu, at a special session held at plenary in honour of the athletes said the donation was a contribution of all 360 members from their salaries.
The special session was convened to allow the Minister of Sports, President of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the 2024 Olympic/Paralympic Contingent to present the newly unveiled 2024 Olympic kits to members.
