The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, in collaboration with the Kano State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, has organised a disaster management stakeholder coordination meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) Territorial Coordinator, Kano/Jigawa States, Dr. Nurudeen Abdullahi, explained that the meeting was organised to remind stakeholders of their responsibilities, regarding the impact of climate change, and the expensive nature of environmental disasters.
He pointed out that 14 local governments are prone to flooding in Kano State.
