Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo says in less than four years in office, his administration’s is on course in laying solid foundations for the actualisation of the African Dubai-Taiwan-Silicon valley programme, promised the people of Anambra State through infrastructure development, law and order, human capital and social agenda, as well as urban regeneration projects.
Governor Soludo was speaking during a special media chat at the Light House, Awka, the Anambra State’s seat of power.
After concluding what political observers have described as a largely successful Local Government campaign rallies ahead of the Saturday’s off-cycle governorship election, Governor Soludo took time to speak on his administration’s performance in the last 40 months in office, and why “ndi Anambra” should re-elect him for a second term.
He highlights key broad areas of achievements, including improved security in the state especially in the Eight Local Government Areas which were hot spots at the time he came to power.

Addressing a major campaign issue on the future of Anambra State, the Governor points out that the envisioned African Dubai Taiwan Silicon valley programme is to make Anambra State a super logistics hub and to harness its industrial trade and commerce potentials, leveraging the solid foundation being laid by his administration through aggressive intervention in human capital development, health care, education and massive infrastructure turn around.
He also mentioned the significant recruitment of 8,115 school teachers, with 326 primary healthcare centres equipped which have impacted enrollment in public schools and health services in the State.
Governor Soludo says there is a misinterpretation of his campaign message on mobilising the electorate to cure the usual malaise of voter apathy in the coming Anambra election.
He took a swipe on opposition candidates who he alleged are parading fake academic credentials, noting that his administration will domesticate the federal government policy of certificate verification for public servants.
The about two hours special live media chat also focused on the economy of Anambra State under the Governor Soludo’s management, revealing a moderate monthly internally generated revenue growth from N1.5 billion to N4 billion stating that capital expenditure is prioritised in the annual budget, accounting for over 70%.
