The Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, and a delegation of Northern leaders have resolved to work together for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential Election.

The resolution was reached on Monday when Northern leaders under the umbrella of the Arewa Think-Tank paid a courtesy visit to the country home of Afenifere’s National Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The delegation, led by former Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, expressed optimism that President Tinubu possesses the vision and capacity to take Nigeria to the promised land.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Muhammad Yakubu, said the visit is aimed at promoting national cohesion, inter-regional collaboration, and sustainable development.

He added that the Arewa group was impressed with the President’s midterm achievements, which inspired their commitment to supporting his second-term bid.

Responding on behalf of Afenifere, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olu Falae, commended the northern leaders for fostering unity across regions.

He described President Tinubu as a leader who understands Nigeria’s challenges and has shown the courage to confront them.

Both groups also agreed to establish a joint framework to advance discussions on constitutional reform, national security, and economic cooperation.
