Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, says the victory of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in the just-concluded local government elections is a warning signal to opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The governor stated this during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected local government chairmen, a commissioner, and other political appointees at the Government House in Bauchi.
Presiding over the inauguration of the newly elected chairmen of the 20 local government areas, who emerged on the platform of the APM, Governor Bala Mohammed said the victory was a clear indication of the growing acceptance of his administration’s policies and programmes by the people of the state.

He said the outcome demonstrated the confidence reposed in his administration, assuring citizens of continued development, progress, and sustainable good governance across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated council chairmen, the Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area, Yahuza Adamu Haruna, pledged their commitment to effective service delivery and the deepening of democratic dividends at the grassroots.

Governor Bala Mohammed charged the newly inaugurated chairmen and political appointees to operate open-door administrations, remain responsive to the needs of the people, and work towards strengthening the APM ahead2027 general elections.
He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the people through responsible leadership, accountability, and improved service delivery.
