Muslim clerics and government officials in Ekiti State have called for credible and violence-free elections ahead of 2027 general election and 2026 gubernatorial poll in the state.
This was during the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri in the state.
Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Professor Abibat Adubiaro encouraged continued prayers for both the state and federal government to ensure the actualisation of developmental goals under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
She also reassured residents that the state government is committed to maintaining peace and stability across the state.

The Chief Imam of Ado-Ekiti, Jamiu Kewulere Bello, called on Muslims and Nigerians to sustain their prayer life after Ramadan and continue to seek God’s intervention for peace and good governance at all levels, from the President to state governors.
Also speaking, the Centre Missionary of Amadia Muslim Community in Ekiti State, Olowomi Toheed emphasised the importance of active participation in the electoral process, urging citizens to vote wisely and in accordance with moral and religious values in the forthcoming elections.
