There are strong indications that some political parties may realign ahead of the 2027 election with the sole motive of unseating President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi made this known in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
He says the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are in talks to forge ahead and ally with ADC to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in 2027.
Abdullahi noted that the alliance is not all about taking power from President Bola Tinubu but focused on good life for the people.
Meanwhile, the ADC has constituted its Constitution Review Committee with former Imo State Governor and one-time Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha and former Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe topping the list.

Abdullahi stated that the ADC has resolved to build a party founded on strong democratic values, internal cohesion, and effective governance.
The party is expected to use the opportunity to strengthen cohesion, as it begins the process of consolidating its hold at the grassroots.
The Committee members were asked to submit an interim report and proposed amendments to the National Working Committee, within 30 days.
