Police in Bauchi have arrested 21-year-old Maimunatu Sulaiman of Kofar Dumi area of Bauchi state for allegedly stabbing her husband Aliyu Mohammad to death following an altercation in their home.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Bauchi police command Ahmed Wakil, as soon as information of the incident was received policemen immediately rushed to the crime scene at Kofar Dumi and took both the victim and the suspect to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
The man later died from injuries sustained on his chest, while woman was treated for minor bruises on her stomach.

The Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa Mohammad has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for an investigation to further unravel the circumstances that led to the stabbing
