25 Players Arrive Super Eagles London Camp For Unity Cup

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in London to commence preparations for the 2025 Unity Cup, a four-nation invitational tournament featuring Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, May 28, at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.

A total of 25 players are currently in camp, comprising 10 home-based talents and 15 foreign-based professionals.

The home-based contingent, led by captain Ahmed Musa, includes Junior Nduka of Remo Stars, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi of Enugu Rangers, Sodiq Ismaila also of Remo Stars, Waliu Ojetoye of Ikorodu City, Papa Daniel of Niger Tornadoes, Saviour Isaac of Enugu Rangers, Collins Ugwueze also of Enugu Rangers, Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars, and Abubakar Adamu.

The foreign-based players who earlier joined the camp are Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Frank Onyeka, Semi Ajayi, Cyriel Dessers, Nathan Tella, Felix Agu, Igho Ogbu, and Bruno Onyemaechi .

Five additional players—goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, midfielder Christantus Uche, and forward Samuel Chukwueze—just arrived few hours ago to complete the 25-man squad .

Head coach Eric Chelle has emphasized the importance of the Unity Cup as an opportunity to blend experienced internationals with emerging homegrown talents.

The tournament serves as a preparatory platform ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria’s opening match against Ghana promises to be a thrilling encounter, reigniting a historic rivalry on an international stage. The Super Eagles aim to make a strong statement as they pursue success in the Unity Cup and beyond.
