Report says that the four female students of the Plateau State University, Bokkos, who were kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Monday night have been rescued.
According to the Chief Security Officer of the University, Samuel Kurtong, who confirmed the report, said they were rescued Tuesday morning, after the school management acted swiftly with the help of security personnel.
He added, that the four rescued female students are currently in a hospital, where they are being examined.
Meanwhile, a student of the institution who pleaded anonymity said, two of the students were raped, before they were rescued from their Fulani abductors.

As at the time of filing this report, students of the Plateau State University were preparing to begin a protest over the incident which appeared to be the third invasion of the school in two years.
