No fewer than 40 people were trapped under the rubble of a storey duplex that collapsed on Saturday in the Sabon Lugbe area of Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory.
A video obtained by AIT shows a large number of on-lookers, security personnel, and emergency rescue operators at the scene.
AIT also gathered that most of those trapped are scarvengers trying to gather leftovers from the uncompleted building located in the estate in which some houses were demolished by the development control department of the federal capital development authority.
