At least 5 local airlines in Nigeria have announced suspension of their operations till further notice due to the spread of Coronavirus.
The affected airlines are Aero Contrators, Arik Air, Dana Air, Azman and Air Peace.

The airlines say the decision though painful is to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus which has been recorded in at least 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
The management of the airlines say the suspension will commence from Friday, March 27, 2020.
They noted that the well being of their staff and esteemed customers is of importance to them hence the need for the suspension
