Heavy downpour, has destroyed more than 500 houses, in the Danbatta local area of Kano state.
A Member representing Danbatta Constituency in the Kano state house of assembly, Murtala Musa, brought the development to the notice of his colleagues and called for urgent attention and provision of relief materials for those displaced.
Musa says the rainfall, had forced the affected families, to seek Shelter in mosques and schools.

The state house of assembly members, just back from recess, have unanimously called for urgent intervention from the state executives and the federal government.
